About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to join our US/Israel-based company, which specializes in creating tailored AI assistances for non-profit organizations. You will work on AI-driven solutions for digital marketing automation and grant discovery, designed to empower organizations to optimize their online presence and funding opportunities through cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

Have a major role in designing and building our system and the way we work.
Work closely with other functions in the company like product, customer success, and more.
Build a 100% cloud-native containerized distributed system for 99.999% availability.

Requirements

6+ years of experience working as a backend engineer.
3+ years with Python (FastAPI) - Node.js is a plus.
Passionate about building API-first systems with the latest technologies.
Experienced with both REST APIs and GraphQL.
Good knowledge of Google Cloud (preferable) or AWS.
Experience with Postgres SQL and NoSQL.
Experience with proper CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
Knowledge of the container world and distributed data centers (k8s).
At least upper-intermediate level of English.

Nice to Have

Experience working in a startup environment.
Experience working with LLM or a system based on ML.
Experience with GenAI integration.

Customer Interview (45 min).
Technical Assessment Q&A (1h).
Technical Assessment Practical - test task (4h) or live coding (1.5h).
