About the Position

2nd Level Support Engineer (all genders)

As a 2nd Level Support Engineer (all genders) in our iTrader/IMM team at our Frankfurt location, you handle customer requests regarding our electronic trading applications and work closely with development, testing, and operations to deliver fast solutions. Your main tasks include:

• Analyzing, reproducing, and resolving customer requests after first-level intake
• Troubleshooting, including remote analysis on customer systems
• Supporting ASP operations (cloud) in close coordination with the operations team
• Infrastructure optimization
• Coordinating and communicating between customers, development, and test teams; ticket monitoring and status communication
• Installing product releases and updates in customer environments; supporting projects and professional services
• Conducting internal and external trainings

Responsibilities

• Optimize infrastructure
• Coordinate and communicate between customers, development, and test teams; ticket monitoring and status communication
• Install product releases and updates in customer environments; support projects and professional services
• Conduct internal and external trainings

Requirements

• Degree in an IT-related field or comparable qualification, alternatively vocational training as an IT specialist for systems integration (Fachinformatiker/in Systemintegration) or similar
• 2–5 years of professional experience in technical support, application management, or IT operations
• Good Linux skills (Red Hat or similar) and good Windows/Windows Server skills
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewall, VPN) and experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL or MariaDB)
• Scripting with Bash and/or Python
• Fluent German (at least C1) and good written and spoken English (at least B2)
• Structured, thorough way of working and solution-oriented communication with customers and colleagues from development, testing, and operations

Nice to Have

• Experience with Git and/or Ansible
• Experience with software in the banking and equity trading environment
• First programming skills in C++
• Persistence and creativity in problem solving
• Willingness to learn, flexibility, and resilience
