Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a Craft QC Inspector 2 to join our team in Mulberry, FL, US. This role involves visually and physically inspecting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on uneven terrain, roofs, or other structures in compliance with site assessments and schematics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Use appropriate hand tools and power tools to inspect photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards using drawings, schematics, and instructions.
  • Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies; clean tools, equipment, material, and work areas.
  • Participate in all safety-related processes and programs to ensure zero injuries.
  • Report all accidents and near misses to the supervisor and participate in the investigation process as needed.
  • Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices.
  • Understand, support, and follow lockout/tag out procedures.
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Use effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Coordinate work with other crafts and co-workers on the job.
  • Actively participate in on-the-job training and mentoring opportunities.
  • Complete inspections correctly and in a timely manner, meeting requirements of drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Comply with Company Code of Conduct and jobsite policies.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working as a QC Inspector or in any construction craft.
  • Knowledge of visual and physical inspection of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Must have all necessary tools (see Craft QC Tool List).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • NCCER Concrete Finishing
  • NCCER Carpenter
  • NCCER Solar Photovoltaic Systems Installer or equivalent Craft Training Program
