Abschlussarbeit Laser-/ Materialbearbeitung * (m/w/d)

SCHOTT AG is seeking a motivated individual for a 4-6 month internship in laser and material processing in Mainz, Germany. This role involves conducting experiments and adapting optical lab setups.

Responsibilities

• Conducting and evaluating experiments to structure optical glasses using pulsed laser radiation.
• Adapting an existing optical lab setup, including possible adjustments to proprietary control software.
• Independent and self-responsible work within the given topic area.
• Collaboration in a dynamic development team.

Requirements

• A degree in Physics, Physical Technology, Microsystem Technology, Material Sciences, or a comparable field.
• Prior knowledge in optics and laser technology, as well as experience with measuring instruments and laboratory work.
• Programming experience is desirable, preferably in Python.
• Good English language skills.
• Strong team and communication skills, along with an independent working style.
