Frequently Asked Questions About the Application

How does the application process work?

  1. Screening by HR: Our HR team will review your application first. If there are any questions, they may invite you for a short introductory call.
  2. Technical Review: Afterwards, subject matter experts and the responsible team leader will review your documents.
  3. First Interview (remote): If it fits technically, we will get to know each other in a first video call.
  4. Second Interview (on-site): In the second interview, you will meet us at one of our locations, get to know the team, and we will clarify all open points.
  5. Decision: Immediately after the second interview, we will give you a final acceptance or rejection.

After each step, we will inform you about the next steps – even if it doesn't fit. As a rule, the entire process takes no longer than four weeks.

What documents do I need?

Please send us a cover letter, your CV, and your certificates. If you have already worked in consulting, we would also be happy to receive an overview of your project experience – preferably as a consultant CV or project list.

How does hybrid working work, and how much time will I spend with the client?

How much you work remotely or on-site depends primarily on your client project. Often, a project starts with an onboarding week at the client, after which on-site appointments are rarely necessary. There are also projects that run 100% remotely. Projects with a high on-site presence at the client are the exception.

How often you are in our own offices will be handled regionally differently within the cimt group. At the beginning, you will probably come by more often to get to know the colleagues and the company. We will be happy to discuss how it looks concretely at your location in the application interview.

What further training opportunities are there?

Up to 10 days per year are available for your further training. Certifications are common with us, but not always required – for example, with our technology partners such as SAP, Qlik, Camunda, n8n, Anthropic (Claude), and GitHub (Copilot). We regularly offer soft skill seminars, and if necessary, you can specialize in specific areas.

In addition, there are internal formats in which we share knowledge in the team and promote new ideas: our guilds, expert working groups (EAKs), Lightning-Talks, AI-Pulse, the cimt Innovation Program, and our annual conference. Many of these formats take place across locations, in addition to individual offers at the individual locations.

What does the onboarding look like?

We design your onboarding individually, the details differ depending on the location. Typical are fixed contact persons, a mentor at your side, and an onboarding program that familiarizes you with cimt, our topics, and the team.

When it goes to the first client project depends on your experience: With a lot of project experience, it can be as early as about a week. If you still need targeted further training beforehand, we will take the time – then it will also take a few weeks.

Can I also apply on my own initiative?

Yes, of course! If there is no suitable position advertised at the moment, but you recognize yourself in our topics, simply use the form for your unsolicited application on our careers page. We will contact you as soon as we see a suitable task for you.
