About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Account Executive in Automotive & Mobility to grow our US business. This role focuses on developing client relationships, driving new business, and expanding existing accounts within the Automotive & Mobility sector and adjacent industries.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Global Head of Automotive & Mobility on all business development activities, including sales and project-related tasks.
- Lead client relationship development and revenue growth across the US.
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle from research, opportunity identification, and qualification through to closing deals.
- Identify target clients and define and deliver a US sales plan in collaboration with the Global Head of Automotive & Mobility.
- Execute the sales plan and close projects with large enterprises, well-funded start-ups, and strategic investment portfolio businesses.
- Travel extensively across the US to meet clients and prospects in person.
- Work with clients and the broader Star team to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Co-own the commercial funnel for the US, ensuring a continuous flow of new relationships, deals, and repeat clients.
- Influence other team members and take ownership of cross-functional projects.
- Develop a high level of confidence, trust, and credibility with clients based on the quality of work delivered by the team.
- Provide concise, mature, and constructive feedback where required.
Requirements
Must have:
- 10+ years of experience in strategy, design, technology, or IT consulting services and working in the digital world.
- Proven ability to understand the challenges facing enterprise clients in the Automotive & Mobility sector.
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets.
- Ability to manage the customer engagement and sales process, including customer acquisition, sales, customer management, account management, and client development.
- Exposure to the technology and corporate innovation ecosystems and experience engaging with C-level leaders and management layers in enterprise clients.
- Ability to balance a self-starter mentality with the need to adhere to agreed processes.
Should have:
- Understanding of design thinking, software development, and engineering processes.
- Ability to deal with different customer groups across Automotive & Mobility and adjacent industries.
- Willingness to 'go the extra mile' and seek to build longer-lasting client relationships and derive revenues from these relationships.
