Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

Mayflower is a technology company that is revolutionizing the entertainment industry with new levels of perception and engagement. We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our Accounting team in Limassol, Cyprus.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries;
  • Perform accounts reconciliations (Customers, Vendors, Bank, eWallets, Payment Processors) for a large volume of data;
  • Create and manage invoices, monitor outstanding payments, and follow up on overdue accounts;
  • Prepare and analyze monthly management reports (income statements and balance sheets);
  • Prepare and submit VAT (OSS, VIES) and other VAT declarations;
  • Coordinate with auditors for year-end audits, providing necessary documentation;
  • Maintain proper books of account and financial records in the Accounting Software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, Economics, or a related field;
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or partly qualified is considered an advantage;
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting/Audit;
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience working with big data reconciliations;
  • Experience with payment processors and transaction reconciliations is considered an advantage;
  • Knowledge of VAT is considered an advantage;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central 365 software is considered an advantage;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Proficient in Greek and English (written & spoken).

Recruitment Process

  • HR interview (30 min);
  • Technical interview (1 hour) & Test task;
  • Final interview (45 min).
