About The Company

GROPYUS is a technology-based construction company focused on building multi-story residential buildings. Thanks to its prefabricated building system with a wide range of design options, automated offsite construction, and fully digitalized processes, the company is able to create resilient timber housing quickly and cost-effectively. GROPYUS is using scalable construction and manufacturing solutions to tap into a future market, strengthen Europe’s innovation capacity, and play a substantial role in improving sustainability. The company delivers its multi-family houses as a complete and turnkey solution. The combination of technology, construction, robotics, and manufacturing expertise means buildings can be created in a fully digitalized end-to-end process. The building system is based on versatile wall and slab elements, making it easier to optimize land use, customize plans, and build fast with both off-site construction and on-site assembly. This system is complemented by the Building Operating System–developed in-house.

About the Role

In this role, you will take on responsibility for a central finance process and actively shape the future of our accounts payable landscape. By working with modern systems like SAP S/4HANA and SAP VIM, and collaborating closely with teams from Accounting, Procurement, Controlling, Treasury, Tax, and operational departments, you will gain deep insights into our end-to-end business processes. Our company environment offers you a lot of independence and the opportunity to contribute and implement your own ideas. This way, you will develop professionally beyond mere invoice processing and increasingly take on responsibility throughout the entire Purchase-to-Pay process.

Responsibilities

  • Fully, correctly, and timely processing of incoming invoices in SAP S/4HANA and SAP VIM
  • Identifying and independently resolving open, erroneous, or incomplete invoices in close cooperation with the relevant departments
  • Ensuring a reliable and timely payment process
  • Conducting account reconciliations and continuously improving data quality in the accounts payable area
  • Preparing and supporting payment runs and ensuring proper processing
  • Participating in monthly and annual closings
  • Analyzing and independently resolving discrepancies between invoices, orders, and payments
  • Continuously optimizing the Purchase-to-Pay process (P2P) together with the procurement and accounting teams

Requirements

  • Experience in accounts payable or relevant training with a strong motivation to develop in this area (if you do not yet have all the mentioned practical experience, this is not a disqualifying factor. What matters to us is your motivation for further development in this area)
  • Practical experience in processing and auditing incoming invoices and a good understanding of Purchase-to-Pay processes (P2P)
  • Knowledge in accounts payable, open items, payment runs, and monthly and annual closings
  • Understanding of tax and legal requirements in accounting
  • Hands-on mentality, high initiative, and enjoyment in actively shaping processes and structures in a dynamic, growing company
  • Structured, reliable, and independent way of working
  • Fluent German and good English skills in speech and writing

Nice to Have

  • Additional skills or experience in financial analysis or project management
