About the Client

Our client is a payment service provider specializing in offering various solutions such as open banking payments, alternative payment methods, card payments, card issuance, mobile commerce payments, e-wallets, and coupons. They serve companies in fast-growing and high-risk sectors, including e-commerce, iGaming, and fintech, with a focus on ensuring secure and efficient digital asset transfers. Their services are provided through simplified APIs, SDKs, and no-code integration options for full-scale payment systems.

Role Overview

As an Accountant, you will have the opportunity to manage complex payroll operations, multi-currency transactions, and financial reports in a dynamic fintech company. This role offers the chance to work fully remotely within the European Union, collaborating with a diverse team and driving the company's growth. You will be at the forefront of financial operations, driving process improvements and ensuring compliance across various jurisdictions.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage payroll operations for 50+ contractors in multiple currencies, including FX conversions and cryptocurrency payroll processing.
• Lead invoice validation, vendor management, and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Perform reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and support the preparation of financial reports.
• Support budgeting processes and conduct budget and actual analysis.
• Ensure accounting compliance, support VAT/tax processes, and coordinate with auditors.
• Drive accounting process improvements and strengthen financial controls.

Requirements

• Strong accounting knowledge.
• In-depth understanding of IFRS/GAAP, statutory reporting, and corporate tax principles.
• Practical experience with accounting platforms and excellent Excel skills.
• Experience in multi-currency accounting and FX transactions.
• Experience working with auditors, tax compliance, and risk management.
• Ability to maintain accounting records and drive process improvements.
• Languages: English B2, Russian C1.
• Experience in the fintech industry.
