Accutics - Lead Backend Developer

About the Position

We are working with Accutics to find an experienced backend developer who's ready to step into a lead role. Accutics is a B2B SaaS company delivering a marketing data governance and campaign-tracking platform; a single shared data language that helps global brands such as Dyson, Coop, and Nordea standardise, validate, and connect their marketing data across platforms. With AI-ready marketing data now at the centre of where the product is heading, the backend has a real part to play. More about Accutics here.

This is not a ticket-handling or pure operations job. It's a chance to sit at the core of a live PHP/Laravel platform, own the backend side technically, and help shape how a small, sharp development team builds.

Responsibilities

• Lead the backend development team and provide technical guidance.
• Develop features within a Scrum-based product process.
• Diagnose and resolve issues independently.
• Optimize SQL databases for structure and performance.
• Collaborate with frontend developers in technical forums and feature-design sessions.
• Work with modern AI tooling such as Cursor, Claude Code, and MCP.

Requirements

• PHP & Laravel: Strong, current backend experience.
• Problem-solving and self-direction: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues.
• SQL databases: Comfortable working with them and optimizing structure and performance.
• Git: Experience with collaborative development workflows.
• REST APIs and third-party integrations: Solid working understanding.
• AI development tools: Familiarity with tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and MCP.

Nice to Have

• Cloud infrastructure experience: AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda), Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Docker and containerized development environments.
• CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Monitoring and debugging tools: New Relic, Sentry, or similar.
• AI model customization or training experience: Experience with RAG, building on top of a foundation model (e.g., via AWS Bedrock).
