About the Position

Adviseur Vergunningen

Aquafin is seeking a Mid Level Environmental Consultant to manage permit procedures for water projects in Flanders. You will be an essential part of our Legal Framework department, ensuring all construction projects comply with legal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead permit procedures, including environmental permits, archaeological reports, authorization requests, and advice.
• Map out permit risks during the design phase and provide solution-oriented advice to the project team.
• Communicate clearly with all stakeholders, from government bodies to internal teams, ensuring everyone is aligned.
• Inspire colleagues and external partners with your expertise and persuasiveness to make a difference together.
• Navigate various legal domains and collaborate on solutions that advance our projects.

Requirements

• Background/experience in urban planning, spatial planning, or the environment.
  To know exactly which permits are needed.

• Knowledge of or experience with environmental legislation, the Environmental Decree, and real estate heritage.
  To switch gears quickly when necessary.

• Communicative, networker
  Easily establish and maintain contact with others. You are diplomatic and able to negotiate.

• Proactive, customer-oriented
  You can advise and convince others based on your expertise.

• Analytical, solution-oriented
  You critically analyze information and translate it into concrete actions to achieve solutions.
