About the Role

At HARMAN Automotive, we are a global, multi-disciplinary team transforming tomorrow with innovative technology. We are seeking a Functional Owner to be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of features within the assigned domain. You will coordinate all efforts for feature definition, development, and testing, acting as the single point of contact for your domain.

Responsibilities

Define, plan, and monitor activities related to the assigned domain, aligning with the overall project scope and timeline.
Collaborate with customer counterparts to clarify requirements and translate them into technical requirements for the development team.
Partner with the software project lead to align on project timelines, priorities, and report domain feature status.
Support system and software architects during architecture definition.
Coordinate with other domain functional owners to identify interfaces and dependencies.
Lead the software development team to ensure features are implemented and validated according to defined technical requirements.
Work with the test manager to ensure features are properly tested and reported issues are addressed.
Ensure adherence to both Harman and customer processes, standards, and quality requirements.

Requirements

University degree (MSc/BSc)
Proven experience in automotive embedded software development, with involvement in requirements management, architecture definition, development, and testing.
Experience working in a matrix-based organization.
Experience with ALM and Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) tools.
Analytical and systems thinking abilities.
Communication and technical presentation skills.
Self-driven, autonomous, and structured way of working.
Good English language skills.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Automotive Connectivity/Telematics systems.
Experience in external customer-facing roles.
Good understanding of Automotive quality standards (e.g., ASPICE).
Experience with working within an agile development framework (e.g., SAFe).

Salary

Annual gross base salary range: lei 246,000 - lei 360,800

Variable compensation and allowances: Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may also be available, such as quarterly or annual bonus pay, commission payments, long-term incentive compensation, or certain allowances. Further details will be made available as part of the recruitment process.
