SumUp is seeking a Sales Agent / Business Developer (VAT) in the payments sector for Emilia-Romagna. This role involves building a portfolio of active clients capable of generating recurring commissions.

Responsibilities

• Sales and Business Development: Engage in direct sales to businesses, restaurants, professionals, and small enterprises in Emilia-Romagna.
• Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses through direct contact, networking, and referrals.
• Solution Presentation: Present SumUp's payment solutions to clients, highlighting benefits such as ease of use, quick activation, reduced operational stress, and cost savings.
• Client Support: Guide clients from initial conversation to solution selection and activation, ensuring a smooth and digital process.
• Follow-Up and Relationship Building: Schedule follow-up visits and maintain ongoing relationships with acquired clients to expand the client base and generate new referrals.
• Utilize SDR Appointments: Manage appointments and qualified leads provided by the internal SDR team when available.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in direct sales, preferably B2B, in sectors such as SMEs, retail, or HORECA.
• Independence: Ability to create new business opportunities and develop relationships independently.
• Tax Status: Active VAT number or willingness to obtain one before starting the role.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage your schedule and focus on achieving objectives.
• Digital Proficiency: Familiarity with smartphones and digital tools.
• Local Presence: Stable presence and willingness to travel within the assigned area in Emilia-Romagna.
• Local Network: A local network of contacts in retail or HORECA is advantageous.
