AI Architect (K10224)

About the Position

We are seeking an AI Architect (K10224) to define and monitor the target architecture, reference architectures, and integration patterns for AI. The role ensures that models, agents, data flows, gateways, platform services, and applications align coherently with the broader SFPD architecture and the requirements for security, privacy, continuity, and manageability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the SFPD target architecture for generative AI, machine learning, and agentic AI.
• Create reference architectures and decision patterns for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployment, tailored to sensitivity, integration needs, and operational requirements.
• Define architectural frameworks for AI Gateway, Model Context Protocol, retrieval, model access, agents, identity, logging, observability, and lifecycle management.
• Guide technology architects and delivery teams in architecture choices, trade-offs, and the transition from sandbox or PoC to production.
• Conduct architecture reviews and make deviations, technical debt, dependencies, and risks visible in a timely manner.
• Integrate privacy, least privilege, data minimization, isolation, and traceability by design with security and data functions.
• Identify and prioritize reusable platform and integration building blocks with the AI Enabling Team and the Internal Developer Platform.
• Translate technological evolutions into concrete impacts, options, and decision points for SFPD.

• Skills

  • Architectural Decision Records, reference architectures, non-functional requirements, and lifecycle management: Expert
  • API-, event- and integration architectures and patterns: Confirmed
  • Translation of regulations, privacy, and security requirements into architecture principles and guardrails: Confirmed
  • Solution- or IT-architecture in complex enterprise environments: Expert
  • LLM- and AI-platform architectures, including retrieval, model serving, agents, evaluation, and observability: Junior

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of the public sector, G-Cloud, or OISZ context
