AI Backend Engineer, Nexus

About the Position

We are seeking an AI Backend Engineer for Nexus with expertise in Python, FastAPI, and LLM integrations. Experience with AWS Bedrock and multi-step agent workflows is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reliable production AI systems.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) using AWS Bedrock, Anthropic Claude API, OpenAI API, Google Gemini API, and Vertex AI.
• Implement streaming APIs, tool/function calling, and multi-step agent workflows.
• Utilize AI tooling such as RAG, MCP, prompt engineering, context enrichment, and conversation history management.
• Ensure quality and infrastructure through automated testing, mocking external services, LLM evaluations, and guardrails.
• Deploy and manage services using Docker, CI/CD, AWS, and basic familiarity with Kubernetes/Helm.
