About the Position
AI Engineer
We are seeking an AI Engineer with expertise in LLMs and BigQuery to join our team in Warszawa, Poland.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining AI/LLM-based solutions and "Chat with Data" systems.
- Creating and developing applications using language models and integrating them with corporate data.
- Designing and developing data processing and data pipeline processes in Data Lake and Data Warehouse environments.
- Implementing and optimizing solutions in the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem, with a focus on BigQuery.
- Collaborating on designing data models and preparing solutions that meet business needs.
- Optimizing the performance of processes and SQL queries, ensuring data quality and security.
- Participating in the analysis, design, testing, and implementation of new solutions.
- Solving production problems and supporting the maintenance of implemented systems.
- Working according to the DevSecOps approach and adhering to security and quality standards.
Requirements
- Knowledge of tools and frameworks for building services using LLMs, such as langchain4j and google-adk.
- Knowledge of Google BigQuery (modeling, cost and performance optimization, permissions, views, routines).
- Very good knowledge of Java and/or Python.
- Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps patterns.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of semantic/metrics layer solutions - semantic layer, caching, preaggregations, metrics governance.
- Experience in building LLM/GenAI solutions for corporate data (chat with data, Q&A).
- Practical knowledge of NL2SQL approaches (translating natural language to SQL) and risk mitigation (hallucinations, incorrect joins, redundant scans).
- Experience in building RAG: embeddings, chunking, re-ranking, quality evaluation of responses.
- Vector databases (e.g., Pinecone / Weaviate / Milvus) and/or graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).
- Evaluation of GenAI systems: evals (offline/online), A/B testing of prompts.
- Knowledge of Rust.
- Experience working with Kubernetes.
- GCP: Cloud Run, Pub/Sub.
- Experience working in a regulated environment (banking): audit, compliance, data classification.
