About the Position
AI Linguistic Evaluator - Tamil (India)
Location: Remote from Canada
Employment Type: Temporary/Contract
Rate: $16 USD/hour
Start Date: Immediately
Duration: Approximately 10-15 total hours (around 5 hours per day)
Equipment Required: Access to at least one personal device running iOS, Android, Windows, or macOS
We are looking for AI Linguistic Evaluators to assess how effectively an AI application performs in Tamil for a short collaboration.
Help shape the future of AI by evaluating AI-generated content, assessing linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance, and improving next-generation AI systems. Ideal for professionals with experience in linguistics, translation, localization, or related language-focused fields.
Responsibilities
- Interacting with an AI assistant in your target language.
- Translating provided prompts from English into your target language and using them to interact with the AI application.
- Evaluating the quality of AI-generated responses according to project guidelines.
- Assessing localization quality, including linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and cultural appropriateness.
- Providing structured evaluations and feedback following the project instructions and quality standards.
Requirements
- Native-level fluency in Tamil (India)
- Excellent command of grammar, spelling, linguistic nuances, and cultural context of the target language
- Ability to accurately translate prompts from English into the target language
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Languages, Philology, Literature, or a related field, with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience; or
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in language-related work
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed guidelines
- Ability to independently evaluate AI-generated content and provide consistent quality assessments
- Comfortable working with structured evaluation criteria and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and deliver accurate, objective feedback
