AI Prompt Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking an AI Prompt Engineer with experience in modern LLM tools to integrate AI capabilities into engineering web applications, specifically for drilling and completion software.

Responsibilities

• Identify practical AI use cases for drilling and completion software.
• Design, test, and improve prompts using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and similar platforms.
• Support the integration of AI features into engineering web applications.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and domain teams to validate AI outputs.
• Help define best practices for AI-assisted workflows and responsible AI usage.

Requirements

• Must have

  • Practical experience with modern LLM and GenAI tools/platforms, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, or similar.
  • Strong prompt engineering skills.
  • Hands-on experience with LangSmith, LangChain, DeepAgent, or similar frameworks.
  • Backend: Python.
  • Experience applying AI tools to real business, engineering, or software development use cases.
  • Understanding of how AI/LLM capabilities can be integrated into web applications.
  • Ability to design AI-assisted workflows, prompts, and response validation approaches.
  • Good understanding of web application concepts.
  • Strong communication skills.

• Nice to have

  • Experience with drilling, completion, oil & gas, or other engineering software.
  • Experience with AI assistants, copilots, workflow automation, or decision-support tools.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, React, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or other AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience working with technical documentation, engineering data, or domain-specific knowledge bases.
