About the Position
AI Strategy & Operations Senior Manager
New York City
Our roster has an opening with your name on it
The Sr. Manager of AI Operations & Strategy will play a critical role in helping scale and operationalize AI across the enterprise. This role sits at the intersection of AI, product, engineering, operations, and business transformation.
This is a highly cross-functional leadership and execution role designed for a strategic operator with strong consulting, program leadership, and organizational management experience. We are looking for someone who excels at bringing structure to ambiguity, driving alignment across senior stakeholders, coordinating complex initiatives, and ensuring teams execute effectively against strategic priorities.
You do not need to be a hands-on AI engineer or researcher. Instead, success in this role comes from the ability to understand how AI initiatives create business value, translate strategic goals into executable programs, and help teams deliver outcomes at scale.
This role will exercise influence across AI Software Engineering, AI Product Management, and AI Platform Engineering while partnering closely with Security, Platform Engineering & Operations, Product Engineering, Data, Finance, and other business stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in technology strategy, transformation, operations, consulting, PMO leadership, and/or enterprise program management who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys solving complex organizational challenges.
In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned to support evolving business priorities.
Responsibilities
AI Operations & Strategic Execution
- Partner closely with the AI Engineering team to operationalize and execute strategic AI priorities across the organization.
- Help coordinate organizational priorities, operating rhythms, planning processes, and cross-functional execution.
- Drive alignment and coordination across partner organizations including other Corporate Technology teams (like Security, Platform Engineering & Operations, Product Engineering, Data, Infrastructure) as well as business stakeholders.
- Establish and manage scalable operational mechanisms for roadmap planning, prioritization, executive reporting, portfolio management, governance reviews, and delivery tracking.
- Help ensure AI initiatives remain aligned to business priorities, resource constraints, operational dependencies, and organizational goals.
- Coordinate complex, cross-functional AI programs spanning multiple teams, stakeholders, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare executive-level communications, updates, presentations, and operational reviews related to AI initiatives, investments, risks, and business impact.
- Identify organizational bottlenecks, execution gaps, and operational inefficiencies and help drive resolution plans across teams.
AI Product Strategy, Planning & Delivery
- Influence and help coordinate AI product roadmaps, prioritization processes, execution plans, measurement strategies, and operational rollout plans.
- Partner with AI Product Management and engineering leadership to ensure initiatives are clearly scoped, prioritized appropriately, and operationally executable.
- Support the development of business cases, prioritization frameworks, implementation plans, and success metrics for AI investments.
- Help define operational KPIs and measurement frameworks tied to adoption, productivity, delivery execution, customer impact, and business value realization.
- Coordinate post-launch operational processes including adoption tracking, enhancement planning, stakeholder communication, and ongoing delivery management.
- Help drive organizational consistency in how AI initiatives are planned, governed, communicated, and executed across the enterprise.
- Support leadership in balancing short-term execution priorities with longer-term strategic initiatives and transformation goals.
Innovation & Enterprise Transformation
- Help FanDuel identify, evaluate, and operationalize opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies across the business.
- Partner with leaders across marketing, operations, customer experience, product, engineering, responsible gaming, finance, and corporate functions to identify high-value opportunities for AI-enabled transformation.
- Coordinate pilots, proof-of-concepts, and experimentation initiatives to assess business impact, operational feasibility, organizational readiness, and scalability.
- Evaluate external vendors, strategic partners, and consulting opportunities that can accelerate innovation and delivery.
- Develop prioritization frameworks to identify the highest-value AI opportunities across customer, operational, and enterprise domains.
- Support change management, communication planning, organizational readiness, and adoption efforts for scaled AI initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to operationalize hackathons, innovation sprints, AI enablement programs, and culture-building initiatives that foster AI adoption across the company.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience across strategy, operations, consulting, transformation, program management, product operations, or technology leadership roles (though we weight the quality and scope of what you’ve done over the number of years on paper)
- Strong experience managing large-scale cross-functional programs in complex technology organizations. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously is a non-negotiable.
- Proven ability to drive alignment, execution, and accountability across diverse stakeholder groups and organizational boundaries.
- Experience supporting executive leadership teams through strategic planning, operational reviews, roadmap planning, and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and build trusted relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving, highly ambiguous environments with evolving priorities.
- AI expertise is not a requirement, more of a nice-to-have-we’re looking for someone with genuine curiosity about AI, a desire to learn, and the ability to ramp quickly in a fast-moving space.
- Background in management consulting, technology strategy, PMO leadership, transformation offices, or high-growth technology environments strongly preferred.
We Offer
- Competitive salary range: $171,000 - $224,700 USD
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) with up to a 5% match; commuter benefits; pet insurance; and more.
- Generous paid time off (PTO & sick leave), annual bonus and long-term incentive opportunities (based on performance).
