About the Position

AI Technology Marketing Intern

Location: Oslo (On-site)

This is a paid, part-time internship opportunity (50%) for one year.

At Opera, we are at the forefront of AI development and exploring how modern AI tooling, agentic workflows, and communities are shaping the future of marketing and product experiences. We are looking for an AI-native intern who is curious, hands-on, and excited about experimenting with the latest AI tools and technologies. In this role, you will work closely with experienced professionals across marketing, product, and technology, supporting initiatives related to AI-driven marketing, community relations, and creative experimentation. You will help prototype ideas, test new workflows, create content, and build small internal tools that improve how we work and communicate with technical audiences. This is a unique opportunity for someone who spends time exploring new AI products, building side projects, and staying closely connected to online developer and AI communities.

Responsibilities

  • Explore and experiment with modern AI tools, agentic workflows, and emerging technologies relevant to marketing and developer relations
  • Build and operationalize small tools, automations, and prototypes to support marketing and internal initiatives
  • Support developer-focused marketing activities, including content creation, demos, community initiatives, and AI-related storytelling
  • Assist with practical tasks such as recording videos, setting up environments, testing workflows, and coordinating technical assets
  • Act as a discussion partner for AI-related topics by sharing insights, trends, experiments, and new ideas with the team

Requirements

  • Strong interest in AI, developer tooling, and emerging technologies, with a habit of continuously testing and exploring new products
  • Experience with tools and platforms such as OpenAI APIs, Cursor, AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude-based workflows, Codex-style tools), MCP workflows, Neon, or similar AI ecosystems
  • At a minimum, basic technical understanding of software development, scripting, or APIs workflows
  • Experience building personal projects, prototypes, automations, or vibe-coded experiments using modern AI tools
  • Familiarity with online developer or AI communities and an understanding of how technical audiences communicate and engage
  • Forward-leaning, proactive personality with a willingness to take ownership, learn quickly, and get hands-on with new challenges

Nice to Have

  • Interest in developer relations, technical marketing, or product storytelling
  • Comfortable presenting ideas, demos, or projects in writing, video, or live settings
  • Currently studying Computer Science, Technology, Digital Marketing, or a related field
