About the Position
Bring your ideas to life at Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical in Amberley, Queensland. Join a dynamic team supporting the Royal Australian Air Force with advanced military airlift capabilities, including the prestigious C-17A Globemaster.
Responsibilities
As a BDA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Maintenance, modification, servicing, and troubleshooting of C-17A aircraft systems.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Mentorship of subordinate technicians.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical).
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulations.
- Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance.
- C class driver's license.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with Military aircraft.
- CASA or DASA Maintenance License or the ability to obtain.
- Good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
- Working knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems.
Security Clearance
You will be required to undergo the vetting process for a government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1). More information is available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website.
