About the Position

Responsibilities

As a BDA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Maintenance, modification, servicing, and troubleshooting of C-17A aircraft systems.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Mentorship of subordinate technicians.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical).
• Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulations.
• Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance.
• C class driver's license.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with various stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with Military aircraft.
• CASA or DASA Maintenance License or the ability to obtain.
• Good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
• Working knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems.

Security Clearance

You will be required to undergo the vetting process for a government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1). More information is available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website.
