About the Position

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical

Bring your ideas to life at Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) on the MQ-28 Ghost Bat program. This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.

Responsibilities

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you will be hands-on with maintenance, modifications, servicing, inspections, testing, and fault-finding on aircraft systems. Your duties will include:

  • Collaborating within the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion
  • Ensuring compliance with DASR Part 145 like Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) regulations
  • Fostering effective communication and coordination with Boeing, customers, and industry teams
  • Ensuring Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and meticulous documentation practices are followed
  • Embracing a positive attitude towards Environmental Health & Safety, prioritizing the well-being of all personnel

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
  • Be an Australian Citizen to meet Defence security requirements
  • Hold a current driver's licence

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working with Military aircraft
  • Hold a CASA or DASA Maintenance Licence

Security Clearance

You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for the whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
