About the Position
AMS with IBM iSeries & ILE RPG
Join our Agile engineering team within Wealth Management, supporting and evolving a business-critical platform for UK discretionary investments. The role combines hands-on development with production support, ensuring system stability while contributing to continuous improvement of IBM iSeries-based solutions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure stable operation of applications through production support during UK business hours
- Analyse and resolve incidents across complex integrated systems
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
- Manage and prioritise support and development tasks within the backlog
- Perform regular operational activities and system maintenance
- Design, develop and implement enhancements on IBM iSeries
- Participate in testing, deployment and release processes
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with IBM iSeries platforms
- Strong knowledge of ILE RPG programming
- Experience with application support and development in enterprise environments
- Knowledge of system and business analysis
- Experience in working in Agile teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with stakeholder communication and collaboration
- Very good command of English
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with SQLRPG or free format RPG
- Knowledge of API integrations and modernisation approaches
- Experience with wealth management or investment banking systems
- Knowledge of securities custody or core banking
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise systems
- Understanding of DevOps practices
