Analyst/Associate, Trade Centre of Expertise (COE), Transaction Services

We are seeking a skilled Analyst/Associate for our Trade Centre of Expertise in Transaction Services to join our team in Singapore.

About the Position

ING Wholesale Banking in Singapore has been operating since 1987 and is the largest wholesale banking branch in Asia. Our focus on client-centric solutions has earned us various prestigious awards. Transaction Services, a key component of our offerings, includes Trade Finance Services (TFS) and Working Capital Solutions (WCS). This role will be integral to managing and providing trade and cash solutions to our corporate clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis of client’s financial statements to determine credit appetite and pricing of programs.
• Analyze receivables portfolios and cash conversion cycles to identify working capital requirements and opportunities.
• Assist in structuring and formulating trade solutions to meet client needs.
• Create commercial presentations to explain proposed solutions to clients.
• Assist in drafting commercial green light requests and credit proposals for new programs.
• Support in drafting legal documentation such as receivables purchase agreements and risk participation agreements.
• Manage the Asia portfolio using Excel and/or in-house applications to facilitate operational flows.
• Work with Trade Finance Sales colleagues to process and resolve operational issues.
• Communicate and assist clients with their queries to ensure operational requirements are met.
• Maintain and create operating and monitoring procedure manuals for existing and new programs.
• Monitor and report on covenants of existing programs.
• Liaise with Treasury and back office teams to ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Support annual reviews of existing programs by drafting renewal proposals or credit modifications.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects and marketing activities as required.

Requirements

• Critical mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
• Hands-on approach, willingness to learn, and ability to thrive in a fast and dynamic environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects/deals simultaneously.
• Good communicator and team player.
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Prior experience in credit and/or financial analysis and financial accounting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Mandarin or Korean (business level) language capabilities are a plus.
