About the Position

Analyst/Associate, Trade Centre of Expertise (COE), Transaction Services

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Trade Centre of Expertise (COE) in Transaction Services at ING Bank in Singapore. This role is pivotal in managing and providing trade and cash solutions to our corporate clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis of client’s financial statements to determine credit appetite and pricing of programs.
• Analyze receivables portfolios and cash conversion cycles to identify working capital requirements and opportunities.
• Assist in structuring and formulating trade solutions to meet client needs.
• Create commercial presentations to explain proposed solutions to clients.
• Assist in drafting commercial green light requests and credit proposals for new programs.
• Support in drafting legal documentation such as receivables purchase agreements and risk participation agreements.
• Manage the Asia portfolio using Excel and/or in-house applications to facilitate operational flows.
• Work with Trade Finance Sales colleagues to process and resolve operational issues.
• Communicate and assist clients with queries to ensure operational requirements are met.
• Maintain and create operating and monitoring procedure manuals for existing and new programs.
• Monitor and report on covenants of existing programs.
• Liaise with Treasury and back office teams to ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Draft renewal proposals or credit modifications and liaise with internal stakeholders for necessary approvals.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects and marketing activities as required.

Requirements

• Skills & Specifications

  • Critical mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on, willingness to learn, and able to thrive in a fast and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and on multiple projects/deals simultaneously
  • Good communicator and team player
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint; Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Prior experience in credit and/or financial analysis and financial accounting

• Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 1-2 years of prior experience in a trade finance role, ideally in working capital solutions
  • Good understanding of credit risk and trade finance solutions with experience in deal execution
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Mandarin or Korean (business level) language capabilities are a plus
