About the Position

Analyst/Associate, Trade Centre of Expertise (COE), Transaction Services

We're seeking an Analyst/Associate for our Trade Centre of Expertise (COE) in Transaction Services at ING Bank in Singapore.

Responsibilities

The candidate will assist the COE team in various activities throughout the lifecycle of a new transaction from opportunity inception to execution of first drawdown of a program. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting financial analysis of client’s financial statements, leading to an internal credit rating used by the bank to determine credit appetite and pricing of programs;
• Analyzing receivables portfolios and cash conversion cycles of clients to determine their working capital requirements and identify opportunities;
• Assisting the deal principal in structuring and formulation of trade solutions to meet the client’s needs;
• Creating commercial presentations aimed at explaining the proposed solution to clients;
• Assisting in drafting of commercial green light requests and credit proposals for the approval of new programs; and
• Supporting the deal principal in drafting of the legal documentation – receivables purchase agreements, risk participation agreements, payment service agreements, etc.

Requirements

• Skills:
  • Critical mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an eye for detail
  • Hands-on, willingness to learn and able to strive well in a fast and dynamic environment
  • Able to work autonomously and on several projects/deals simultaneously
  • A good communicator and team player
  • Proficient in usage of MS Excel and Powerpoint; Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Prior experience in credit and/or financial analysis and financial accounting
• Languages:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Mandarin or Korean (business level) language capabilities are a plus, to support the client base in Taiwan, China and Korea
• Qualifications:
  • At least 1-2 years prior experience in a trade finance role, ideally in the area of working capital solutions
  • Good understanding of credit risk, trade finance solutions and experience in deal execution
  • An academic degree in economics, management, law or equivalent
