Role

Please note that we only accept applications from candidates in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec for this position. For candidates based in Quebec, proficiency in English is necessary, as the role involves collaboration with teams located in the rest of the Americas and, occasionally, in Europe.

As a Senior AEM Business Analyst, you are passionate about digital experience innovation and motivated to push the boundaries of what is possible. You possess 4 to 6 years of experience, a growth mindset, and a desire to make a lasting impact.

The Senior Business Analyst acts as an intermediary between business teams, product owners, and technical teams to make business capabilities possible through technological solutions. This person works closely with the product owner and technical leads to help them understand, define, and clearly communicate their goals, needs, and envisioned solutions.

The Business Analyst is responsible for verifying that technical requirements are accurate and meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) before passing them on to the development team. This person also understands the implications and dependencies of systems to ensure they are properly considered.

They support product owners by helping them analyze the business domain and refine and prioritize the product backlog based on business value.


Responsibilities

  • Identify, define, and analyze technical (and, if necessary, functional) requirements.
  • Be able to clearly express requirements from both a technical and business user perspective.
  • Communicate effectively with the development team and product owners and managers to analyze technical requirement needs.
  • Analyze and evaluate requirements to determine impacts on upstream and downstream systems and processes, and proactively communicate impacts, risks, and solutions to all cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements and track their progress throughout the project and sprints.
  • Develop user guides associated with applications and provide training to users as needed.
  • Collaborate with the solutions team (technical team) to understand the feasibility of requirements and how they work.
  • Propose solution approaches based on best practices to meet business needs, leveraging Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) capabilities.
  • Analyze end-user integrated features and translate them into requirements for content management and integration of external data providers.
  • Support the prioritization of the product backlog by understanding dependencies between requirements and epics.
  • Recommend avenues for improving internal processes and propose tailored solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of test scenarios and cases and validation activities necessary to ensure the quality and success of system implementations.
  • Ensure a smooth transition of projects to support teams by providing the required documentation.
  • Maintain constant communication between the client, project manager, and technical team.
  • Documentation: Be responsible for creating, updating, and making accessible all project-related documentation for all stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyze requirements: Ensure the collection of business needs and the tracking of issues so that every client's voice is heard and documented effectively.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience working with technical teams and in the analysis and resolution of business and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct business and technical needs gathering activities, including facilitating workshops.
  • Ability to lead and guide the design of user flows and effectively communicate them to relevant teams.
  • Mandatory experience in large-scale implementations of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including Digital Asset Management (DAM) projects using AEM Assets.
  • Good knowledge of using an AEM Assets-based Enterprise DAM platform, including integrating systems for the distribution and ingestion of digital assets.
  • Experience in metadata and taxonomy management, including the migration of content and digital assets in AEM.
  • Experience with Adobe Dynamic Media and its advanced features, such as Smart Crop.
  • Proficiency in content operations processes, including governance, migration, and permission management models.
  • Practical experience in work and business process management with Adobe Workfront is an asset.
  • Knowledge of modern content creation approaches in AEM, such as the Universal Editor for Edge Delivery Services, is an asset.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem solutions is an asset.
  • Adobe Certified AEM Assets Digital Librarian Professional certification is an asset.
  • Adobe Certified AEM Business Practitioner Expert certification is an asset.
