Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements
About the Position
Analytics Engineer (all genders) - Supply Data Solutions
Vollzeit | Start: immediately | Hybrid | Hamburg, Germany
About Our Product & Tech Department
Our mission is to digitize the classic shopping stroll, turning it into a personalized, inspiring experience for every customer. Technology and data sit at the center of everything we build. We are not a fashion company with a tech team on the side. Tech drives our product, our strategy, and our growth.
Our proprietary tech stack powers our own shops and SCAYLE, our commerce infrastructure solution that serves over 350 brands globally. Same foundation, bigger stage. The challenges keep things interesting.
What To Expect
We are looking for an Analytics Engineer who will take full ownership of our supply data and turn it into reliable, ready-for-analysis datasets. You’ll partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Supply stakeholders to make sure everyone works from the same clean source of truth.
At Supply Data Solutions, we build end-to-end data-driven decision-making tools. These solutions work in sync to guide daily operations in the Supply Unit at ABOUT YOU, supporting Pricing & Steering, Demand Planning, and Inventory Management.
Responsibilities
- Identify overlapping data needs across forecasts, optimization, and reporting, and create reusable mart tables.
- Simplify existing transformations so downstream teams never rebuild the same logic.
- Build and monitor pipelines (Python + GCP) and keep them healthy.
- Document everything - schemas, lineage, and data contracts.
- Guard the platform: manage IAM roles, data-access boundaries, cost monitoring, performance tuning, and data validity checks.
- Mentor junior analysts and raise SQL skills across the whole Supply.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional data engineering experience, with a track record of turning messy operational data into governed analytics layers.
- Strong Python skills for ETL and orchestration, alongside hands-on experience with GCP, BigQuery, Git, and CI/CD.
- Write advanced, high-performance SQL using complex CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
- Methodically analyze complex, tangled systems and design clear, structured plans for improvement.
- Take proactive ownership of the platform’s health, ensuring robust monitoring, governance, and reliability.
- Balance long-term, clean system design with the immediate need to deliver business value.
- Collaborate confidently across teams to establish data contracts and align upstream source teams, downstream consumers, data scientists, and analysts.
Nice to Have
- Experience with modern transformation and orchestration tools like dbt or Dagster.
- Familiarity with AWS core services, specifically Batch, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Industry background or domain knowledge in supply chain or logistics.
- Exposure to data cataloging and data observability platforms.
Salary Range
60k - 70k €
