Android Developer

About the Position

We're looking for a Android Developer to join our fully remote and mission-driven team. As an Android Developer at , you'll build beautiful and user-friendly Android apps for our customers. Your code will be written in a timely and scalable way all while ensuring strong optimization. You'll also unit-test your code for robustness including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. You'll work closely with our product team to deliver high-quality Android apps. Ultimately, our customers on Android will have a great mobile experience thanks to you.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and optimized code
• Unit-test code for robustness, edge cases, usability, and reliability

Requirements

• Experience in publishing Android apps
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin
• Knowledge of working with remote data via REST APIs
• Solid understanding of the Android platform and Google Android design principles
• Ability to make use of standard libraries and APIs
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle
• Analytical skills and good time management
• Great communication and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity about new technologies and excitement to implement them in your work
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to overall business goals

Nice to Have

• Junior: Big appetite to learn and improve Android skills
• Medior: Ability to deliver quality features without much supervision while keeping the team in the loop
• Senior: Experience with coaching and mentoring other developers; ability to oversee and drive projects forward
