About the Position

Mayflower is a technology company building highload products used by millions of people worldwide. Operating at the scale of one of the world's top-50 websites, we solve complex engineering challenges and create solutions that power real-time entertainment for a global audience.

We are currently seeking an Android Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our native Android streaming application.

Responsibilities

  • Develop native Android streaming application using Kotlin and modern architecture patterns.
  • Implement real-time video streaming with camera/microphone integration.
  • Build interactive chat system with moderation tools and viewer engagement features.
  • Optimize app performance for continuous streaming sessions and battery efficiency.
  • Integrate with streaming platform APIs (Twitch, YouTube Live, etc.).
  • Collaborate with backend and design teams on feature development.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Android development and insight into modern technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java, including Coroutines, Flows, and Jetpack libraries.
  • Experience with architectural patterns – MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, modular applications.
  • Understanding of Camera APIs, MediaRecorder, and media frameworks.
  • Strong experience with dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt).
  • Strong experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Strong testing skills (JUnit, Espresso, UI testing).
  • Experience with Java Native Interface (JNI) and C/C++ is an advantage.
  • Experience with mobile streaming implementations or framework is a big plus.
