About the Position
We're looking for an Android Developer to join our team in Doha, Qatar, in a hybrid working mode. Responsibilities
- Develop mobile banking applications for Android
- Maintain and enhance applications by fixing bugs, refactoring code, and adding unit tests
- Implement new features aligned with functional and performance requirements
- Participate in technical discussions and provide insights
- Collaborate with team members to improve code quality and consistency
- Utilize external data sources and APIs
- Explore and implement new technologies for efficient development
- Ensure software standards through thorough code reviews
- Partner with UX designers, architects, backend developers, and QA for high-quality delivery
- Establish and automate continuous testing for delivered features
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in native Android development (Java/Kotlin)
- Strong knowledge of designing secure, robust, and scalable applications
- Familiarity with design principles and Google's Android interface guidelines
- Experience with Version Control Systems (Git)
- Knowledge of test-driven development and CI/CD processes
- Ability to design user-friendly applications with creativity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong analytical thinking for solving complex engineering challenges
Nice to Have
- Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML5
- Background in server-based application development
- Knowledge of mobile application architecture
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
