About the Position
Android Developer - Kotlin
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer - Kotlin to join our team for a digital wallet and personal finance mobile application. This role is Remote / Hybrid.
About the Project
We are looking for an Android Developer to work on a digital wallet and personal finance mobile application. The app supports account overview, card-related flows, transaction history, onboarding, push notifications, biometric access, and secure interaction with backend APIs.
The Android stack includes Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Hilt, Retrofit, Room, and modern Android architecture patterns. The role includes close collaboration with international product, backend, QA, and design teams, so strong spoken English is essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Implement secure user flows such as onboarding, authentication, biometric access, and transaction views.
- Work with REST APIs, Retrofit, error handling, caching, and offline-friendly screens.
- Use Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous logic and reactive data updates.
- Maintain local storage with Room and apply practical data synchronization patterns.
- Collaborate with designers to deliver polished mobile UX aligned with platform guidelines.
- Write unit and UI tests for critical flows and support release readiness.
Requirements
- 4+ years of commercial Android development experience.
- Strong experience with Kotlin and modern Android development.
- Practical experience with Jetpack Compose; strong XML experience is acceptable if Compose is already used commercially.
- Experience with Coroutines, Flow, Hilt/Koin, Retrofit, Room, and MVVM or MVI architecture.
- Understanding of secure mobile development, token handling, local storage, and app lifecycle.
- Experience with crash reporting, performance monitoring, and debugging production issues.
- Strong spoken English - B2+ or higher for direct communication with international teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with fintech, banking, digital wallet, payments, or regulated mobile products.
- Experience with Firebase Cloud Messaging, deep links, and biometric authentication.
- Experience with modular Android architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD for mobile apps, including build variants and release pipelines.
