Android Developer - Tieto Banktech

We are looking for an Android Developer who wants to be part of Tieto Banktech. Tieto Banktech powers some of the Nordics’ most trusted banking systems with secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. Using automation, data, AI, and cloud, supported by hands-on guidance, we help banks modernize their core, strengthen trust, and deliver greater impact across the banking experience.

You will join Front&Advisory, where we deliver user-friendly self-service solutions, including mobile and online banking, bank administration solutions, and modern Open Banking APIs. You will become part of an international community of IT professionals across Norway, Poland, and Ukraine, with strong opportunities for learning, collaboration, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Join a skilled, autonomous agile team where you work closely with Android and iOS developers, designers, backend developers, and product managers.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve mobile banking solutions for our customers.
• Work with native Android development and integrations with responsive web solutions.
• Contribute to engineering standards, agile practices, and continuous improvements in team workflows.
• Keep the end-user experience in mind when making technical decisions.

Requirements

• Jetpack Compose – experience building modern, responsive user interfaces.
• Kotlin – ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Gradle – experience managing builds efficiently and reliably.
• Git and GitHub – experience with version control, collaboration, and code reviews.
• CI/CD pipelines – experience with GitHub Actions or similar tools for automated testing and deployment.
• Dependency injection – understanding of DI principles and how to build scalable, testable code.
• Modern Android architecture – experience with recommended patterns and practices for robust, maintainable applications.
• Android testing – experience writing and maintaining unit tests and UI tests.
• Security and privacy – awareness of best practices for sensitive data, permissions, and secure storage.
• Accessibility and localisation – experience designing inclusive applications for multiple languages and regions.
• Language skills – you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice to Have

• Kotlin Multiplatform experience – sharing code across platforms.
• Swift and Xcode experience – cross-platform development experience is an advantage.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools – using them effectively and responsibly to support coding, testing, documentation, and problem-solving.
