Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements
About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer for ADAS with strong hands-on experience in vehicles, ECUs, and ADAS systems for our team in Braunschweig, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle-level calibration, tuning, and optimization for different vehicle variants and customer requirements.
- Support application activities across Driving, Safety, Parking, and Vision functions.
- Execute software flashing, ECU bring-up, diagnostics, communication checks, and dataset integration.
- Build and maintain test benches for tuning, validation, and software integration.
- Conduct real-world vehicle evaluations, test drives, and test track activities, including data collection and issue analysis.
- Perform real-time tuning and calibration using measurement tools.
- Support pre-development by collecting dataset parameters and coordinating with customer, mechanical, and system teams.
- Ensure compliance with standards, homologation requirements, and customer performance expectations.
- Collaborate with Function Owners and cross-functional teams to align end-user requirements.
- Prepare final dataset releases, smoke test reports, release notes, and traceability documentation.
- Maintain clear documentation of tuning strategies and validation results.
Requirements
Must have
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with system-level problem-solving capability.
- Experience in vehicle testing, tuning, and performance evaluation.
- Willingness to travel for customer support and on-site validation (~50% travel).
- Valid EU Class-B driving license (VW prototype driving license is an advantage).
Nice to have
- VW prototype driving license is an advantage.
- German language skills are an advantage.
- Front Camera experience.
- Bench Testing.
