About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated Application Maintenance/Production Support Engineer to join our client, a leading bank in Asia, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The selected candidate will be part of a newly established technology center, focusing on delivering innovative financial technology solutions that support business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee Technology Obsolescence Management processes and governance.
- Monitor lifecycle status of IT assets and technologies.
- Track End-of-Life (EOL) and End-of-Support (EOS) technology components.
- Maintain and update technology obsolescence trackers and dashboards.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation using CMDB.
- Monitor compliance with technology obsolescence policies and standards.
- Coordinate annual reviews to identify obsolete technologies and applications.
- Work with Asset Custodians and Application Owners to obtain remediation plans.
- Track technology refresh initiatives and implementation progress.
- Gather budget approval and project implementation information.
- Ensure approved remediation actions are completed before EOL deadlines.
- Generate management reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Support governance reviews and management reporting activities.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Asset Management, and Application teams.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, CMDB Management, Technology Lifecycle Management, or Technology Obsolescence Management.
- Strong experience with BMC Remedy / Helix.
- Experience working with CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
- Experience in Technology Obsolescence Management.
- IT Asset Lifecycle Management knowledge.
- Experience tracking End-of-Life (EOL) and End-of-Support (EOS) technologies.
- Experience in governance, compliance, and reporting activities.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboard creation.
- Knowledge of Windows and Unix environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in English at C1 Advanced level.
