Application Security Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer with 3+ years of experience in security testing and remediation to join our remote team.

Responsibilities

• Perform application security assessments and code reviews.
• Conduct threat modeling during architecture and design phases.
• Support development teams in remediation of security issues.
• Validate vulnerabilities and conduct vulnerability triages.
• Work closely with developers and DevSecOps engineers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Application Security, Product Security, or Offensive Security experience.
• Strong understanding of common vulnerability classes, their root cause, and remediation processes.
• Knowledge of Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts.
• Experience with at least one SAST/DAST/SCA solution.
• Experience performing manual security testing.
• Track security findings and ensure timely remediation.

Nice to Have

• Experience in offensive security/penetration tests.
• SAST/DAST/SCA tooling.
• Configuring CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with open-source security tools.
• Experience with LLMs and integrating them into workflows.

Soft Skills
