Application Security Principal- Viena

We are seeking a Principal Application Security professional to join our client, a leading international technology-driven organization, in Vienna. This is a strategic and high-impact role for a senior Application Security expert who combines strong technical foundations with the ability to influence engineering teams and drive security best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Application Security
• Lead application security assessments and penetration testing activities
• Identify vulnerabilities and work closely with development teams on remediation
• Embed security practices into SDLC and Agile environments
• Drive automation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Promote secure coding standards across multiple engineering teams

Requirements

• Proven experience in a lead or advisory Application Security role
• Strong software development background (Java, C/C++, C#, PHP, Python, or similar)
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring, ASP.NET, or OSGI
• Hands-on expertise in:
  • Application security testing and automation
  • Penetration testing
  • Vulnerability management
  • Agile development environments
