Applied AI Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join our team at Webscale, a leading managed services platform. If you are passionate about AI and data, and excited to help us redefine how AI is built for eCommerce, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to build and deploy GenAI and machine learning solutions from use case scoping to model deployment in agentic systems focused on delivering real business value using large scale data and orchestration frameworks.
• Design and implement stateful agents with tool calling, memory, and routing using LangGraph, MCP, or similar tools.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of AI agents that autonomously complete eCommerce workflows via third-party systems (APIs, web apps, documents).
• Develop and support AI components including model inference, similarity search, guardrails, evaluation, and observability.
• Work with a full stack of open-source and cloud-based AI tools like AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, VectorDBs, and PyTorch.
• Build scalable infrastructure using cloud-native architectures, microservices, and container orchestration.
• Full stack product development including building intuitive user interfaces and end-to-end experiences for production-grade AI applications.
• Stay current with agent research and apply new techniques pragmatically to improve scalability, latency, and cost in production AI systems.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Machine Learning and Data Engineering.
• Experience with Cloud Native Architectures and Microservices.
• Full stack product development skills are a strong plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Full Stack Development and Product Development.
