About the Position
We are seeking an Applied Robotics & Computer Vision Engineer to develop and evaluate perception and manipulation systems for enterprise robots. This role involves building and assessing systems against real tasks, not just curated demonstrations.
Responsibilities
- Prototype vision, calibration, localization, and manipulation pipelines for enterprise robot use cases.
- Design repeatable evaluations for accuracy, latency, robustness, and task success.
- Integrate cameras, depth sensors, robot controllers, and inference services.
- Investigate failure modes across lighting, occlusion, object variation, and physical contact.
- Turn experiments into documented pilot components that integration teams can support.
Requirements
- Strong Python and practical computer-vision experience.
- Experience with OpenCV and at least one modern ML framework.
- Understanding of camera models, transforms, calibration, and robotics coordinate frames.
- Ability to design experiments and communicate uncertainty honestly.
- Experience moving prototypes toward reliable production behavior.
Nice to Have
- ROS 2, MoveIt, Isaac Sim, or Gazebo.
- 3D perception, grasp planning, or visual servoing.
- Edge inference and GPU optimization.
- Industrial inspection or warehouse automation.
