Apprenticeship as an IT Specialist for System Integration

About the Position

As an IT Specialist for System Integration, you will plan and set up computers and networks, remedy technical problems, and support the maintenance of servers and databases. You will also help to protect against cyber attacks and take care of software installations. Alongside day-to-day operations, you will learn to coordinate small IT projects independently and help to shape the digitization of the company as part of an international team.

Requirements

• Good higher school leaving certificate (Realschule)
• University entrance qualification (Fachabitur/Abitur)
• Interest in business economics and information technology contexts
• Mathematical understanding and logical thinking
• Openness and team skills

The School Portion of Your Apprenticeship

In Darmstadt, you alternate between four weeks at the company and two weeks at vocational school.

Your Career Prospects

After your apprenticeship, you could join one of our IT teams as an IT Support Specialist or System Administrator. Döhler gives you the chance to develop further in your chosen specialist field, including network technology, IT security, or cloud systems, and to play an active role in international IT projects.

  A few months before they join us, all new apprentices and students are invited to attend our big annual team-building event. Other events are also held throughout the year for particular occasions.

• Opportunities to discover various fields and departments
  You pass through many different departments during your apprenticeship or dual degree programme, giving you comprehensive insight into the company.

• Personal contact with the Works Council, the Young People’s and Apprentices’ Representatives and the Human Resources department
  You have personal contacts at all times who take care of your concerns and questions. The Works Council, the Young People’s and Apprentices’ Representatives (JAV), and the apprenticeships team in the Human Resources department will be happy to help and support you.
