Responsibilities

• Key Role: Within the Hardware R&D Architecture & Embedded Software Department, the technical architect plays a crucial role in specifying and supporting the development of our connected products (mail franking machines and Folder Inserters/Inserters).
• Collaboration: In our organization, software development teams predominantly work in Agile mode, with each team referring to the technical architect responsible for specifying our products.
• Technical Expertise: The technical architect is essential in defining our system solutions and the innovative approach of our products through their technical and business expertise. They interface with the project team, particularly the project manager, to specify the technical architecture of our products and ensure that the product has been developed according to the requirements. They propose major product evolutions (security, protocol, tariff calculator, etc.) and provide their expertise to other teams (technical support, architecture explanations). They must also follow the evolution of technologies, postal standards, and security applicable to our products.
• Cross-functional Interaction: The technical architect may be in contact with other R&D disciplines (electronics, mechanics, quality, industrialization, etc.).

Requirements

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of embedded environments and constraints
  • Networking knowledge (IPv4, IPv6, Wifi, IoT, AWS, TCP, TLS, etc.)
  • Knowledge in the field of Cybersecurity
  • Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS
  • Knowledge of a programming language and experience in defining graphical interfaces is a plus
  • Mechanical knowledge is desirable

• Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science/Electronics or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in defining architecture
  • At least one year of experience in software development
  • Experience in specifying product architecture and demonstrating rigor in your work
  • Open-minded, results-oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and pedagogical skills
  • Good writing skills
  • English: technical
