Architectural Solution Manager

About the Position

We are seeking a highly capable Architectural Design Manager to direct the complete design lifecycle of our hyperscale data center projects in Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary bridge between our internal technical divisions, external consultants, and construction partners. Your objective is to ensure that our facilities are meticulously designed for scalability, operational excellence, and timely delivery across Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

• Project Lifecycle Leadership: Direct the architectural design process from start to finish, encompassing feasibility studies, concept creation, detailed design, and construction support.
• Hyperscale Optimization: Formulate design strategies tailored to the unique demands of data centers. Ensure the architecture fully supports data hall operations, optimal equipment layouts, logistics flow, and seamless integration with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Consultant Management: Oversee external architectural partners, rigorously reviewing their design documentation and drawings to guarantee alignment with project goals, quality standards, and timelines.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Partner closely with Civil, Structural, and MEP engineering teams to deliver cohesive, clash-free, and fully integrated building solutions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Spearhead design discussions with local authorities, expertly navigating regional submission processes to secure critical project approvals on schedule.
• Procurement & Tendering: Support the commercial phase by preparing comprehensive design documentation and actively participating in the evaluation of contractor bids.
• Construction Oversight: Review contractor-led detailed designs and shop drawings to protect the original design intent. Provide active on-site support to promptly resolve construction challenges.
• Value Engineering: Continuously identify opportunities to optimize designs, successfully balancing project costs, functionality, and rigorous program requirements.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture or a closely related discipline.
• Industry Experience: A minimum of 8 years in architectural design and project management within Southeast Asia (particularly Malaysia or Indonesia).
• Specialized Portfolio: Demonstrated success in delivering conceptual and detailed designs for large-scale industrial facilities, logistics hubs, or hyperscale data centers.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Southeast Asian project delivery practices, regional approval processes, and familiarity with national, American, and British design codes.
• Preferred Background: Prior experience working in a client-side, developer, or design management capacity is highly advantageous.
• Execution Expertise: Strong practical knowledge of construction detailing, material selection, and modern site execution practices.
