About the Position
Area Logistics Officer – Kalemie
Acted is seeking an Area Logistics Officer for Kalemie, Democratic Republic of the Congo, to manage supply chain and logistics operations.
Responsibilities
The Area Logistics Officer will assist the Area Logistics Manager in managing supply chain operations and transversal logistics such as fleet, fuel, premises, assets, and communication management. Key responsibilities include:

Supply Chain Management:
- Procurement
- Stocks & deliveries
- Traceability

Transversal Logistics Management:
- Fleet & transportation management
- Fuel management
- Asset management
- Premises management
- Communications & IT management

Ensure compliance with Acted and donors’ procedures in all logistics operations.

Promote logistics procedures and contribute to the implementation of safety & security guidelines, SOPs, and plans.

Provide technical support and capacity building to logistics staff.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent.
- Ability to train, mobilize, and manage teams.
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Autonomy, leadership, and organization skills.
- Previous experience abroad is an asset.
We Offer
- Salary: Between 1800 and 2000€ monthly (before income tax), depending on the level of education, security level, etc.
- Allowances: Monthly living allowance of $300.
- Benefits: Accommodation and food provided in Acted guesthouse, pension, health insurance, life insurance, repatriation assistance, and unemployment insurance for EU citizens.
- Travel: Flight tickets every 6 months & visa fees covered, contribution to luggage transportation (up to 100 kgs), and R&R every 3 months with flight tickets covered up to $500 and an allowance of $200.
- Leave: Annual leave of 25 to 43 days per year.
- Training: One week pre-departure training in Acted HQ, including a 4-day in situ security training.
- Support: Tax advice (free 30-minute call with a tax consultant) and psychological assistance.
