About the Position

Area Product Owner Business Development - RT Elements

As an Area Product Owner Business Development for the Brainlab RT Elements portfolio, you will shape the future of the world's leading medical radiosurgery applications as part of an international multidisciplinary team. Complementing the team around the RT Elements product owner, you will drive our future development pipeline by defining and analyzing potential deliverables not yet on the roadmap. In this role, you will draw on strong research and analytical skills to balance competing portfolio requirements, assess technical feasibility, support business plans, and drive prioritization decisions together with product management, business development, R&D engineers, customers, and academic collaborators.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise collaborations: Conduct feasibility projects with customers, universities, and internal collaborators.
  • R&D roadmap: Clarify priorities, ensuring the backlog reflects the most valuable deliverables for the future product in alignment with the overall business strategy, in accordance with customer demands, technical requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Stakeholder management: Interact with the RT Elements R&D team and other R&D teams providing solutions for the RT portfolio, product management, clinical research partners, and industrial cooperation partners facilitating communication and alignment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience within the clinical radiation therapy field
  • Strong ability to understand R&D, product management, and clinical requirements
  • Ability to derive feasibility assessments in close collaboration with business development and the team around the RT Elements product owner
  • A deeply analytical mindset and creativity to develop extraordinary solutions
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to understand dependencies of complex medical devices

Nice to Have

  • Experience with agile development concepts like SCRUM / LeSS
  • Experience in development or product management of medical devices including software
  • Clinical knowledge in the area of radiosurgery
  • Clinical knowledge of radiation therapy treatment planning systems
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. German is a plus.
