Asia Displacement Solutions Platform (ADSP) Specialist

About the Position

The Asia Displacement Solutions Platform (ADSP) is a joint initiative of the Danish Refugee Council, International Rescue Committee, and Norwegian Refugee Council, aiming to promote the development of solutions for displaced populations in Asia. ADSP is hosted by DRC, currently out of its Bangkok Office, part of the Middle East, Asia & Europe Hub (MEAE). We are looking for an ADSP Specialist who can support its work, with a focus on the Afghanistan displacement axis.

Responsibilities

• Support research activities on the Afghanistan displacement axis, including procurement processes, implementation of activities, and ADSP review processes.
• Support the dissemination of ADSP evidence-based products through public or confidential events and communications.
• Stay updated on publications, events, and trends related to Afghan displacement, identify key stakeholders, and inform ADSP and its members.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of ADSP’s capacity strengthening and learning events for practitioners, advocates, policymakers, and donors.
• Support the organization of the ADSP Afghanistan Displacement Sub-Regional Working Group meetings, including proposing agenda points, taking summary notes, and following up on action points.
• Assist in communications with ADSP members in Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan, as well as with ADSP partners.
• Contribute content to the ADSP quarterly Newsletters focusing on ADSP activities related to the Afghan Displacement axis.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to the Head of ADSP, occasionally beyond the Afghanistan displacement focus.

Requirements

• University degree essential, master’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience working in a similar position, preferably with non-governmental organizations or civil society.
• Understanding of displacement-related issues is essential. Previous knowledge of humanitarian, development, and solutions programming is highly preferred.
• Previous experience conducting trainings and learning events is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly fluent written and spoken English.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to respect deadlines.
• A keen sense of interest and a willingness to work hard.

• Contract length: 12 Months
• Contract Type: National Contract
• Band: G2 Non-Management
• Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National employees.
