Asset Accountant

About the Position
We are seeking an Asset Accountant to support fixed asset accounting, project capitalisation, reconciliations, and reporting across multiple systems. The role will work closely with finance, tax, treasury, and audit teams to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant accounting activity.
Responsibilities
- Manage fixed asset accounting processes, including depreciation, impairment, retirements, asset creation, and transfers.
- Support project capitalisation, capital work, and global reconciliations.
- Prepare routine fixed asset reporting and month-end close activity.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, cycle counts, and ad hoc analysis.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Advanced qualification or postgraduate degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ accounting and finance experience.
- SAP and fixed asset accounting experience advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
