Associate Competitive Value Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for an Associate Competitive Value Engineer to join our team in Madrid, Spain. At Celonis, we are the trusted platform to industrialize Enterprise AI. Responsibilities

• Competitive Deal Advisory: Support Global Account Teams on our most important competitive deals. Provide tactical guidance and technical differentiation.
• RFX Orchestration & Coaching: Coach account teams and SMEs through the RFX response process. Connect the right experts and share best-practice examples.
• Applied AI Product Development: Build and deploy AI tools that make competitive work scale. Automate the RFX response process and develop agents for the competitive deal cycle.
• Scalable Enablement: Facilitate global competitive enablements, especially for Go-to-Market. Build self-service tools to answer competitive questions at scale.
• Market Intelligence: Analyze market shifts and competitor moves. Support our Market Intelligence team and contribute insights to our Product and Executive teams.

Requirements

• Experience: Extensive internship experience or 1-2 years of full-time work in solution engineering, management consulting, technical pre-sales, competitive intelligence, or a fast-paced technology environment.
• Strategic & Advisory Mindset: Think strategically and identify key elements that help account teams differentiate Celonis in a competitive landscape.
• Project & Stakeholder Management: Drive a multi-stakeholder process end to end under deadline. Orchestrate input from subject-matter experts, sales, and product.
• Builder DNA: Spot manual, repetitive work and build solutions to fix it for everyone.
• Technical Foundation & Hunger to Learn: Hands-on experience with SQL and/or Python. Strong desire to grow these skills in an Applied AI context.
• Market Curiosity: A strong desire to master the Process Intelligence landscape and the broader Enterprise AI ecosystem.
• Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into a clear “Value Story” for non-technical sales reps and customers.

Nice to Have

• Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with automation platforms like Make.com, n8n, or Zapier.
• Knowledge Orchestration: Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) concepts.
• RFP Experience: Previous experience managing or contributing to complex technical RFPs/RFIs.
• Entrepreneurial Background: Experience starting a side project, a small business, or being part of an early-stage startup team.
