About the Position

The Audit Innovation team, part of the Audit function, is a hub for data, analytics, and intelligent automation specialists. This team is crucial for enabling audit professionals to leverage data for analytics and develop innovative audit solutions. It is where much of the innovative early thinking on data-driven and intelligent automation projects takes place.

We are seeking an Associate Data Analyst to join our team in Bangkok, Thailand. The role involves two main focus areas:

• Client Delivery: Involves transformations using innovative techniques to extract intelligence from data assets and analyze data to provide meaningful insights.
• Development of Analytics Approach: Involves developing our analytics approach, capability, and tools.

The role is highly varied, offering opportunities to enhance skills through consulting and business experience while managing work streams, projects, and budgets.

Responsibilities

Delivery

• Work in project teams to perform key steps in the data analysis process, from data extraction and preparation to developing analysis models and visualizing results.
• Use data analytics tools and techniques to identify patterns, extract outliers, and perform analyses to address audit risks.
• Develop data visualizations to display analyses to end users.
• Contribute to written deliverables and reporting of outcomes to the audit engagement team and/or clients.

Development

• Work in project teams to develop data analytics solutions and data-driven technology assets for the Audit engagement team and external clients.
• Develop solution features following best practices and architecture guidelines.
• Test and validate solutions.
• Develop competence in a broad range of technologies and frameworks for managing all aspects of the data lifecycle.
• Undertake technical training to acquire and demonstrate expertise in data analysis and the design and build of solutions.
• Stay abreast of developments in the data and analytics landscape, with the desire to translate cutting-edge techniques and technologies into project outputs.
• Take part in the development of an innovation culture within the team and promote new ways of working.
• Proactively adopt AI-enabled tools and automation to improve work efficiency and data quality, with appropriate validation and human judgment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in quantitative fields such as Information Technology for Business, Statistics, Management Information System, Computer Science/Engineering, or related fields.
• 0 - 2 years (for Associate) and 3 - 4 years (for Senior) of experience in Data Analytics, Data Visualization, or related fields.
• Experience in stages of the data analytics lifecycle (identification, extraction, load, transform/shape, analyze, report).
• Experience with visualization tools, familiarity with Power BI is advantageous.
• Critical thinking, with analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving expertise.
• Foundation of statistical knowledge.
• Experienced in analytics model coding using Python, SQL, or R.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, dive deep into details.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, in Thai and English.
• Ability to take a leadership role when necessary.
• Mature, initiative with a strong sense of teamwork.
• Flexible to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Fast learner and willing to learn.
• Experience in solving issues and dealing with the uncertainty that can arise in project situations, including having a problem-solving and can-do attitude.
