Associate Director / SAP FI-CO Team Leader

About the Position

We are seeking an Associate Director / SAP FI-CO Team Leader with over 8 years of experience in SAP FI/CO projects to lead our team in Katowice, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultancy to Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), chief accountants, and financial teams regarding the transformation of financial functions using SAP solutions.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, preparing offers, estimating work, and presenting solutions to clients.
• Conduct strategic workshops and meetings with management to define target financial processes, operational models, and transformation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with KPMG practice leaders on the development of SAP Finance services and go-to-market initiatives.
• Manage the SAP FI/CO consultant team, including work planning, competency development, and subject matter support for team members.
• Develop the SAP FI/CO team's competencies through mentoring, coaching, and building specializations in finance and controlling.
• Oversee the execution of the FI-CO stream in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, and roll-out projects.
• Serve as Project Manager for smaller development projects focused solely on the FI-CO area.
• Conduct workshops with clients to analyze business processes and design solutions in line with SAP best practices.
• Design and supervise the configuration of SAP FI and CO areas, including integration with modules MM, SD, PP, PS, and PM.
• Ensure solution quality through project reviews, test supervision, data migration support, and production readiness preparation.
• Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, and business representatives on planning, risk management, and project decision-making.
• Support clients during hypercare and process optimization post-system implementation.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP FI/CO projects, including experience as a Lead Consultant or Team Leader.
• Excellent knowledge of financial processes, controlling, and integration with other SAP modules, confirmed by SAP certificates.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA projects (implementations, conversions, or roll-outs), including knowledge of changes compared to SAP ECC.
• Experience with the SAP Activate methodology.
• Practical knowledge of the following FI areas: GL, AP, AR, AA, BA, and CO areas: CCA, PCA, and Product Costing or Margin Analysis.
• Experience in designing financial models and harmonizing financial processes.
• Knowledge of financial data migration issues, integration testing, cutover, and production launch support.
• Ability to conduct business workshops and effectively communicate with financial department representatives and management.
• Experience in managing a project team, planning work, and mentoring consultants.
• Excellent English language skills to conduct international projects.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Knowledge of SAP Central Finance, Group Reporting, Treasury, or FSCM.
• Experience with projects for organizations operating in the Shared Services or Global Business Services model.
• Knowledge of local legal and tax requirements, particularly JPK, KSeF, and electronic reporting.
