About the Position
Neros Technologies is a defense technology company dedicated to rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We are currently seeking an Associate General Counsel, Product to guide our regulatory interactions and ensure compliance with FCC, NTIA, FAA, and other laws.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Neros’ lead product lawyer
- Guide all of Neros’ interactions with the FCC, NTIA, FAA, and other regulatory stakeholders
- Oversee Neros’ compliance with FTC, NTIA, and FAA regulations, as well as the NDAA and AI legislation
- Serve as Neros’ in-house expert on the laws governing radio spectrum usage
- Work with the Export Control Officer (ECO) in the ECO’s oversight of ITAR compliance
- Administer Neros’ IP portfolio
Requirements
- JD and membership in a state bar or the District of Columbia bar
- At least 8 years of experience in government, big-law, or a combination, working on radio spectrum issues
- Experience advising defense technology companies
- A practical, solution-oriented approach to practicing law
- An ability to translate legal concepts to non-lawyer audiences
- An ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- A desire to stock the arsenal of democracy and defend the West
Nice to Have
- A prior role at the FCC, FAA, NTIA, or a DoW office with spectrum stakeholder status
- In-house startup experience
- Team sports experience
US Salary Range
$150,000 – $220,000+
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
